Monaghan Development Squads have been busy over the past couple of months in preparation for upcoming Ulster competitions at their respective age groups.

Our U16s have played a number of challenge matches against Louth, Dublin and Cavan. In all games they acquitted themselves very well, played some good football and in each game they have progressed steadily. They are now looking forward to the start of Buncrana Cup which takes place this Saturday in Derry (at 2pm in Lavey). Monaghan will also play Armagh, Antrim and Down (venues & times TBC) in this competition which is played in the same venue of the Ulster county minor league match against the same county.  See below team photos of the panel that played in those games recently.

U15 Development Squad

Our U15 panel have been training since early January. They had a very competitive challenge match against Dublin, which took place in Cloghan on the last Sunday of January.  We are currently holding trials for the U15 squad, we had our first trial last Saturday.  They will play Louth and Derry in challenge matches in March and they play the first game in the National U15 blitzes at the end of April v Dublin.

U14 Development Squad

The first of a number of trials for this Squad took place over the mid term break in Cloghan. Over a 120 players attended this trial, plans are in place to have further trials over the coming weeks / months. Thanks to all the coaches who assisted on this day. The date for the next trial is Saturday 23rd of March. Times to be confirmed. Names (club /contact details) of players (who did not attend the first trial) can be forwarded to Rory Beggan on number outlined below.
