Monaghan Harps Lotto: Numbers 6, 15, 18 and 25. Jackpot of €1,300 not won. Jackpot for Sunday, January 20 is €1,400 and Liz and Dermot Brannigan are on duty. Lotto draw takes place in our clubhouse every Sunday night. All welcome. Thanks to everyone for their support for our Lotto, which has now played a critical role in our club’s funding for almost 25 years. We ask all club members to continue to promote our Lotto as much as possible. Please note that the 2019 Sunday-night rota is now available in the clubhouse.

Charity match: Any sponsorship forms from our annual New Year’s Day charity match still to be returned can be left into the clubhouse or to organisers Mary White and Owen Connell. Please return forms and money raised as soon as possible.

Ireland Lights Up: Monaghan Harps are proud to announce that we will be taking part in the Operation Transformation ‘Ireland Lights Up’ project. This will involve six weeks of walks, starting this evening (Thursday, January 17) at 7pm. Please come along and support this club initiative and allow plenty of time. High-vis jackets will be provided.

Club Draw: The GAA’s National Club Draw is back for 2019, offering great prizes including a Renault Clio. Books of tickets are available now from club members. All support appreciated.

O’Neills: A range of Harps gear can now be bought online from O’Neills website. See the club’s social-media pages for the link.

Membership: Registration fees for 2019 can now be paid to club registrar Kevin Treanor or in the clubhouse. Please note that all juvenile and adult players must be paid-up members and we are planning a registration night for next Thursday (January 24).

Monaghan GAA Awards: The Monaghan GAA Annual Awards Presentation Night will be held in the Four Seasons Hotel tomorrow (Friday). Congratulations to Eoghan McGinnity and Conor Flynn on their awards as the county’s Young Handballer of the Year and Young Hurler of the Year, respectively.

Coaching: Upcoming coaching development courses being run by Monaghan GAA include Foundation Level courses and other workshops in the next few weeks. Coaches are asked to please contact Noreen McMorrow for more details.

Scór: Well done to Eoin Mac Cléire, who represented club and county very well in the Recitation section of the Scór na nÓg Ulster Final in Silverbridge last Saturday.

Ladies: Indoor training commences for U-12, U-14 and U-16 girls next Monday (January 14). All newcomers welcome. Please contact Ronan on 086 0701764 for details.

Schools: Best wishes to all our club players currently representing their teams in schools’ and colleges’ competitions.

Votes of sympathy: At last Thursday’s club meeting, votes of sympathy were passed to the families of Joe Corr, Margaret Gallagher, Noel Ward and Joseph McCabe. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.
