Bawn Handball Club
All ireland SMBD 60×30 winners, Michael Clerkin and John mc Geough
Another all ireland title for Bawn in the SMBD 60×30 last week in roscommon where Michael Clerkin and John mc Geough dft the team from Mayo in a trilling 3 game match, the monaghan lads came from behind in the first game only to be narrowly dft 21-18, they found themselves 9-16 behind in the second game but dug deep and played out of the skins to win 21-20, tie break was another epic battle but this time it was the Bawn lads who went out in front and the never gave up there lead winning 21-13, a fantastic and well deserved win.
Killian Mc Elroy memorial tournament takes place this weekend, 9th 10th and 11th Nov in Bawn and we hope as many people as possible will come along to watch the action.
