Applications for Two Coaching Positions in Monaghan Closes this Wednesday….

Monaghan GAA County Board are seeking CV’s for 2 coaching positions. One is Games Development Administrator (GDA) and the other Games Promotion Officer (GPO), see below more details about each position. Are seeking to employ a

 GAMES DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATOR (GDA)

COISTE CHONTAE MHUINEACHAIN is seeking to recruit a candidate who can demonstrate excellent administration skills in the following areas; IT, writing reports, delivering power point presentations and general office duties.    In addition to this the candidate will be required to coach and deliver schools coaching programme’s, and summer camp coaching, community & disability development work as well as club mentoring initiatives. The post is based on funding for it being retained and will commence immediately.

The successful candidate will be based in Monaghan County Training Grounds, Cloghan, however through the direction of the Games Development Manager’s this may be moved to different locations throughout the county. Thecandidate must also be prepared to do evening and weekend work in addition to normal day to day activities. The applicant will be required to attend GAA and generic coaching courses and conferences. Government employment initiatives / schemes will also be a factor in selection.

SOME KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST ARE:

  • Working knowledge of IT related packages and systems.
  • Appropriate third level qualification.
  • GAA Level 1 Coaching Award is essential.
  • Clear and detailed knowledge of Monaghan’s (GAA) coaching schemes and initiatives.
  • Proven experience of coaching Children and Youths.
  • Experience in Developing Coaching Programmes (desirable).
  • Garda vetting is required.
  • Own car with a full clean driving license (required).

Good communicator, good interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team and take direction. Have the ability and skills to work with children, youths and those with disabilities.

This position will be for 39 hours per week. The salary will be discussed at interview.

 

GAMES PROMOTION OFFICER (GPO)

COISTE CHONTAE MHUINEACHAIN is seeking to recruit a candidate who can who can deliver schools GAA coaching programme’s, development squad and summer camp coaching, community disability development work as well as club mentoring initiatives in both Football & HurlingIn addition to this, demonstrate experience & a skills set in, writing reports, delivering power point presentations and general office duties. The post is based on funding for it being retained and will commence immediately.

The successful candidate will be contracted to work at locations throughout the County at the Games Development Manager’s discretion and direction. The candidate will be required to carry out administrative duties and he / she must also be prepared to do evening and weekend work. The applicant will be required to attend GAA and generic coaching courses and conferences.

SOME KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST ARE:

  • GAA Level 1 Coaching Award in Football & or Hurling is essential.
  • Proven experience of coaching children and youths in Football & or Hurling.
  • Experience of Development Squad Coaching and Summer Camp Coaching is desirable.
  • Experience in Developing Coaching Programmes in Football & or Hurling.
  • Be capable and competent in verbal and written communication and also in completing a range of administrative tasks both IT and manual.
  • The successful candidate must stay in the position for a minimum of six (6) months.
  • Garda vetting is required.
