Corduff outclass Killanny in 2nd half

Corduff staged an increasingly effective second-half performance to come from being 6 points behind at the end of the opening quarter and 7 approaching half-time to clinch victory at the expense of a Killanny side that faded somewhat in the second-half in the face of increasing Corduff pressure.
Killanny had the better of the exchanges in the 1st half, particularly in the opening quarter at the end of which they led by 6 points, but Corduff had begun to come to grips approaching half-time to reduce the deficit to 3. Ten minutes into the 2nd half Corduff were back to parity and then took the lead for the 1st time with 10 minutes of normal time remaining and despite being reduced numerically with two 2nd yellow card dismissals they closed it out with a 2nd goal by Fergal Hanratty, who scored all but 6 points of their total on the day.
