Monaghan Harps Lotto: Numbers 1, 9, 13 and 16. Jackpot of €3,200 not won. Jackpot for Sunday, December 10 is €3,300 and Ann and Kevin Treanor are on duty. Lotto draw takes place in our clubhouse every Sunday night. All welcome. Thanks to everyone for their support for our Lotto, which plays a critical role in our club’s funding. We ask all club members to continue to promote our Lotto as much as possible.

 

AGM: The senior club hosted a Special General Meeting in the clubhouse last Sunday, when the following committee was elected for 2018: Chairman: Jimmy Croarkin; Vice-Chairman: Mel McMorrow; Treasurer: Dermot Coyle; Assistant Treasurers: Charlie Shalvey & Rose Donnelly; Registrar: Kevin Treanor; PRO: Colm Shalvey; Development Officer: John Hahessy; Youth Officer: Pádraig Callan; Children’s Officer: Nora Gunn; Coaching Officer: Finbarr Conlon; Cultural Officer: Joe Ó Gallchóir; Health & Wellbeing Officer: Martin Sheridan: Insurance Officer: Ann Treanor; County Board delegate: Fergus Coyle. Thanks to all our committee members, all who attended and everyone who contributes to the club on an ongoing basis. Thanks to all outgoing club officers and to those who have taken up these roles on the committee. Good luck to Jimmy and the new committee, whose first meeting takes place this evening (Thursday) at 6.30pm.

 

Sympathy: At last Sunday’s club meeting, votes of sympathy were passed to the families of John McKenna, Eilish Mulligan, Frankie Treanor and Martin Murray. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

 

Schools: Well done to Thomas Croarkin, Conor McCrystal, Jamie Shields and the St. Macartan’s College MacRory Cup team, who won their play-off against Dungannon last Saturday.

 

Dates to remember: Our annual charity match will take place as usual at Gavan Duffy Park on New Year’s Day, while our juvenile presentation night is provisionally set for Friday, January 26.

 

Coaching: There are several upcoming coaching courses/workshops in Cloghan.
