Secondary School Skills Football Competition for 1st Years
The Monaghan Coaching and Games are organising a 1st Year Skills Football Competition. This competition comprises of teams of 4 and will take place in Monaghan County Training Grounds on Tuesday 3rd October at 11am, finishes at 1pm.
The competition consists of 2 skills tests. Test 1 is based on kicking, catching and point scoring. Test 2 is based on kicking and catching.
There is 160 points available in Test 1. The best time in Test 2 earns 50 points, second best earns 30 points, third place earns 10 points. teams that earn points in Test 2 are added onto their points from Test 1.
If there is a tie at the end of the competition, the team with the fastest time in Test 1 wins.
The winners will be presented with prizes for their school and also each player will receive a prize. This is the first time we have organised a Skills Competition for Secondary Schools. We would be hopefull that all schools could support and attend this initiative.
