Toome staged an increasingly effective second-half performance to come from being 4 points behind at half-time to winning by 5 in this entertaining yet keenly contested sudden death play-off in Inniskeen on Saturday evening last. Central to Toome’s recovery was a goal by Gary Wilson midway through the 2^nd half that restored them to the lead and they saw the game out although Corduff’s cause wasn’t helped by the fact that they were reduced to 14 men with some 6 minutes to go when Ciaran Brennan was sent off on a 2^nd yellow card. Corduff led at half-time by 0-10 to 0-6 and still held a slight edge for most of the 3^rd quarter but once Tome got their noses in front for the 2^nd time in the game they closed it out with 3 points from James Wilson, 2 from frees and the final score of the match from Sean McMahon.
