atinum Tanks sponsored reserve football league division 2A final that was played in excellent conditions in Blackhill on Friday evening last. The closeness of the exchanges kept this contest interesting throughout even though the standard of play at times was scrappy and errors, forced and unforced as well as turnovers abounded and both sides showed some wasteful finishing. The sides were level at the end of a low scoring first half with scores at a premium, but it was a game also that built to an exhilarating finish as Killanny recovered from a 3 points deficit in the 3^rdquarter to take a 2 points lead with 10 minutes of normal time remaining. Ballybay battled back to opened a 2 points lead and looked in a position to push on for victory but the impact of the Killanny substitutes in the final stages who registered 4 points between them, saw them battle back to take a 2 points lead with 1 minute of normal time remaining and while Ballybay battled to the very end they could only shave one point of that margin as Killanny held out for what was overall probably a deserved victory.
