Last Saturday, the 1st July, Monaghan Coaching & Games organised a GR8 Go Games U8 Football blitz, which took place at the Monaghan GAA Training Centre in Cloghan. With  26 of the 29 clubs attending the blitz, the GoGames blitz had to be split into two different time slots with the first group playing between 9.30 and 11.30 and 12pm and 2pm.

Clubs who participated included Donaghmoyne, Emyvale, Aughnamullen, Castleblayney, Corduff, Scotstown, Magheracloone, Inniskeen, Carrickmacross, Truagh, Killanny, Monaghan Harps, Tyholland, Doohamlet, Aghabog, Latton, Sean McDermotts, Killeevan, Eire Og, Rockcorry, Currin, Blackhill, Oram, Clones, Clontibret and Cremartin.

Over the course of the day, 350 children took part in the blitz with the clubs split into 42 teams. Each team got a minimum of 3 games over the course of blitz.

The blitz showed off a lot of the good work being done by coaches in their clubs. The skills on show were a credit and we look forward to seeing more of these players over the coming months and years.
