Monaghan U14 Development Squad travelled to Garvaghey Tyrone to take part in an U14 Blitz on Saturday past. Monaghan are currently carrying 80 players with this group and will use these blitzes to reduce the squad over the coming months. 23 clubs are currently represented with this squad. Monaghan had 3 teams participating and these teams got the opportunity to play 3 games against Tyrone, Down and Armagh. All games where very competitive and the Monaghan teams improved with each game that they played. See below teams photos from each of the participating teams.

Over the past week Monaghan Coaching & Games organised two coaching workshops on Gaelic start (U6/8’s) and Kicking/shooting workshop. Purpose of these workshops is to give coaches an opportunity to pick up a few new ideas, refresh their mind in relation to coaching games / drills etc and to share any issues/problems that they are facing with their particular groups. Both course’s where very well attended with over 60 coaches attending both workshops and 18 clubs were represented. We would like to thank Macartan McKenna, Rory Beggan , Paul Finlay and Colin Malone who delivered the workshops, additionally we would like to thank all the coaches who attended the workshops.
