Monaghan Coaching & Games Development Officer Aidan Morgan organised the annual indoor Hurling league for Primary Schools within the county. This initiative targeted 4th to 6th class boys and girls which took place at the excellent astro-turf facility at the Phoenix Centre, Carrick on the 9th, 16th and 23rd of November. The following schools attended Annyalla NS ,Mullaghrafferty NS,  Gael Scoil Lorgan NS, Gael Scoil Rois NS, St Joseph BNS Carrickmacross, Castleblayney BNS and Annalitten NS.

Monaghan Coaching & Games would like to thank the schools who participated in the league and thank them for their continued support in promoting and developing Hurling.

In terms of other Hurling initiatives, Aidan is currently delivering or planning in the new year are:

• Schools Coaching Programme,
• After School Hurling Programmes for North (new year) & South (underway at the minute in Patrician High School Carrick) targeting 4th to 6th class students.
• Primary Schools Hurling skills competition to be arranged for after the Easter Holidays.
