MINORS

On a nice calm afternoon in Clonitbret our minors were ready for championship final replay with Monaghan, right from the start the lads got stuck in and had scores on the board with points in second and third minute, with monaghan getting one back in 6 minute, then two more from frees 8 and 14 minute, with another one for monaghan 16 minute, another one each 20 and 24 minute, then the lads got 4 on the run, which left it 9 points to 3 with 2 minutes on half time, then came a goal and point for the Harps leaving it 0-9 to 1-04 at half time, at the restart we got first 2 points first and six minute, the next 4 scores came from Monaghan leaving it a draw 0-11 to 1-08 with 20 minutes gone, Carrick got 2 more 20 and 21 minute with Monaghan in the 23, the last 4 came from the lads leaving full time 0-17 to 1-09, over all it was a great game with some hard hitting and plenty of hurling skill, we would like to thank Monaghan Harps for a good game of hurling and well done to all players and management team, woo woo COUNTY CHAMPIONS
