A goal by Gavin Flanagan with 10 minutes remaining gave us the cushion we badly needed as Emyvale hit a purple patch and were pressing hard and chipping away into our lead but our defenders spearheaded by the Duffy brothers Ronan and Tiernan , flanked by Robert Berg, Adam Kiernan, Cillian Leegan and Mark Grimes  and Peter Dooley who covered  every blade of grass all worked hard  and we held out for a 2 point win and hopes still alive for a semi final spot. This was a good all  round performance by our team, played in cold but dry conditions in Pairc Eanna and we got 9 different players on the scoreboard which is always very encouraging..

Scoil Naomh Eanna had a good win over Loughmourne in the Cumann na mBunscoil competition. Next home game in against Scoil Rois on the 6th October.
