Emyvale Notes

June 16th, 2016

Monaghan Electrical Intermediate League: Emyvale added two more points to their league tally with a win over Aughnamullen on Friday evening last. They had a comfortable lead going in at half time but then had a player sent off in the second half which turned the game around in favour of Aughnamullen. The visitors cut the deficit to four points at one stage but the Emyvale defence stood firm & held on to win by a margin of five points.

Reserve League: Aughnamullen once again provided the opposition on Sunday last in the Reserve League & the Emyvale team put on a commendable performance as they were missing quite a few of their regular players. They led by a point at half time but had a wee snooze in the first ten minutes of the second half when Aughnamullen scored five unanswered points and from there on it was playing catch up. They had chances but were wasteful up front & lost by three points.

Vacancy: A vacancy will be available on the CES scheme in July for a position at the football grounds in Tully. Anyone who is eligible please apply to Louise Duffy 087 7650282.
