Magheracloone Notes

Lotto Results. The numbers drawn in the Club Lotto on Monday, 25th May were 5, 6, 7 and 8. The Jackpot was not won this week. The four winners in the Lucky Dip were P. J. Gilsenan, Seamus Calliff, Michelle Clerkin and Pauric Finnegan, (D.D.) The next draw will take place in the clubrooms on Monday, 1st June and the Jackpot will be 4,200 euro. 

Results. The Reserve Championship began last week-end with a trip to Inniskeen to play Latton. In a tight encounter the Magheracloone team came out on top and so progress to the semi-final. The final score read Magheracloone 1-14 and Latton 1-12.

 

At under age level, the two Magheracloone teams in action claimed victories in their most recent encounters. The Under-14 team hosted Toome last week and won on a score-line of 4-8 to 1-11 in their Division Two game.

The Under-16 team were also in action in Division Two of the league and they claimed the points in their encounter with Latton. The final score in this game was Latton 4-10 to Magheracloone’s 8-11.

 

Fixtures. A number of important fixtures are down for decision this week including a vital Senior League game at home to Inniskeen. The county team is on a break from competition for a number of weeks so some very crucial games are in prospect. The game versus Inniskeen is in Magheracloone on Sunday 31st with a 4.00 p.m. throw-in. All support for this game would be appreciated. The campaign continues on Wednesday, 3rd June with a trip to Clontibret for an eight o’ clock throw-in.

 

The Under-12 team will play the second round game in Division One of the league on Saturday, 30th May versus Donaghmoyne. The game will be played in Magheracloone and is timed for 12 noon.

 

State Exams. Best wishes to all our players and club members who will be starting the State Exams. next week. It is hoped that the hard work and study of the past years will bear fruit at this time for all the young people.

 

 

 

Sympathy. The chairman and members of the club wish to extend sympathy to the Shaw family following the recent of Bob Shaw, formerly of Ballynagearn. May he rest in peace.
