On Sunday last saw The South Ulster Hurling Academy play their first matches together as one unit. They U14`s played a match against Armagh U14 Development squad and the U16`s played a match against a good strong Keady side. Both squads used these games to get familiar with their new teammates and the coaches got to have a look at how the squads played as a team.

With big numbers with both squads it was decided to play 3 halves of 20 minutes to ensure everybody got at least 20 minutes of game time. After five weeks of collective training we organised these matches as preparation for the first Ulster Blitz which is due to take place this Saturday 19^th July.

On Saturday Pauric Dowdall will be going to Cloghan with one U14 team, Paul Divilly will be going to Longford with the second U14 team and Eoin Morrissey will be travelling to Ballyshannon with the U16 squad.
