Monaghan Camogie

The County Camogie Blitz will be held in Gratten Park, Inniskeen on Sunday next 3rd. August @ 11am. Please note the earlier time due to Hurling finals taking place in Aughnamullen As in previous years the Blitz competition would normally take place as a curtain raiser to the domestic Season but clubs were in agreement that it should be run off during the peak season when most players would be available and have put college exams etc. behind them.

Inniskeen, Clontibret and Castleblayney will compete, with the u14’s from these clubs playing simultaneously in an underage Blitz.

 

Rules for Senior Blitz

10 minutes a side, 15 minutes for the final.

12 players a side, can roll subs on and off.

Goals on 13m line

No square ball

 Camán to Clones- Celebrating 110 years of Camogie – Caman to Croker

This event  for U12’s which is a new initiative  has been planned for O’Neill Park in Clones,on August 9th,  home of the Ulster Finals. In order to take part in “Caman to Croker” clubs will firstly have to compete in Clones.

Don’t forget to get your Camogie club to apply and give your girls the chance to play at the provincial and national venues!

Great opportunity for all Club Under 12 Camogie teams in Ulster- Be sure to sign up!

Camán to Clones will be held on Saturday 9th August and the CLOSING DATE for registration was on 25th JULY!!

Inniskeen  V Clontibret

Our senior camogs were in action against Clontibret in the Monaghan Development league on Wednesday 16th july in Pairc Grattan. The contest was fairly evenly matched for 20 minutes of the first half until Clontibret pushed ahead registering 1.03 without reply. Inniskeen did rally in the second half but it wasn’t enough and were defeated on a 4.09 to 3.07 scoreline. Please keep Sunday 3rd August  free as Inniskeen will host the Monaghan Camogie Blitz Competition. Underage training  for u8/u10 and U13/U15 continues on Tuesday evenings in preparation for upcoming fixtures. Text message will be sent out with further information. The club would like to extend its sincere gratitude to DG McArdle, Callenberg, Inniskeen for the kind sponsorship of a new set of Camogie jerseys for the senior team and to ACE Environmental, Kilkerley,  Dundalk for their sponsorship of Polo Shirts for the girls.
