Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 13^th December:

Monaghan GAA award winners: for 2012 were announced at the county convention on Thursday, December 6th. Congratulations to Gerry Mc Carron who won Senior Referee of the year on the night. An awards presentation will be held at the Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday, January 19th.

Ulster GAA Presidents Awards: Over 200 guests packed into the Armagh City Hotel on Friday 30th November for the third Ulster GAA President’s Awards. On the night our club was awarded Monaghan Ground of the Year. A special word of thanks to John Connelly who collected the award on behalf of the club. Tribute also has to be paid to Mickey Mc Carron and his work over the year as grounds man which has contributed to this award.

Mouth guards: From January 1st 2013 it will be mandatory for all players up to and including minor to use a mouth guard for training sessions and all matches. The mandatory use of mouth guards at Under 21 and Adult level will commence from January 1st, 2014.
