Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin were notified by CHC on Friday evening 16 March 2012 of the following penalty:

 

“Muineacháin to play their next scheduled Allianz Football League home fixture at a neutral venue to be selected by An Lár Choiste Cheannais na gComortaisí”

 

 

The hearing was held without agreement of and in the absence of Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin.

 

CHC notified Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin that a reconvened Hearing as directed by the DRA would be held on Thursday 15th March 2012.

 

Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin were available and willing to attend on that date as requested.

 

CHC then changed the hearing to Friday 16th March 2012.

 

Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin notified CHC that they were unavailable to be represented on Friday 16th and sought an alternative date.

 

CHC refused to allow an alternative date even though Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin had afforded them that courtesy.

 

An Rúnaí Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin notified CHC in writing that a) Monaghan did NOT consent to the hearing proceeding in their absence

b) That they required an opportunity to attend so as to make a submission

 

Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin are disappointed that these reasonable requests may have been ignored and or dismissed without proper justification or communication from CHC.

 

As the hearing was held without agreement of and in the absence of Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin we feel that the CHC decision cannot be justified to the Monaghan players or supporters.

 

Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin will make no further comment at this time.
