Donaghmoyne held off a second-half comeback from Clones to win the GRM Minor Football League Division Three Final on Saturday.

Rockcorry moved into pole position for fourth place in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League thanks to a nine-point win over Seán McDermotts on Saturday. Currin secured home advantage in the semi-finals with a comprehensive victory against Tyholland, while fellow semi-finalists Carrickmacross and Corduff played out a draw, just six days after they clashed in the championship final. Éire Óg’s chances of an unlikely reprieve from relegation remain in the balance after their game against Aughnamullen was postponed, while already-relegated Drumhowan ended their 12-game winless run by hammering Donaghmoyne.

Clones beat Killeevan in the Gerry’s Takeaway Junior Football League on Wednesday night. The semi-finals will see championship winners Cremartin travel to Emyvale and table-toppers Toome host Clones, with both games set for October 16.
