On Saturday 22nd October saw the final of the 4th Class Primary School skills competition take place in Cloghan during the Cumann na mBhunscol Finals Day. The Finalists where made up of 9 schools throughout the county which included Joseph McKenna , Bradley Maguire Urbleshanny NS, Oggie Duffy Gaelscoil Ultan, Christopher Flood Deravoy NS, Luke Coyle Corcaghan NS, Conor Comiskey Broomfield NS, Conall McHugh Annyalla NS, Ryan Farrelly Mullaghrafferty NS, Oisin O’Hanlon Carrickmacross BNS, Thomas McPhillips Latton NS.  These finalists where determined after two regional events which were held in Gaelscoil Ultan & Carrickmacross Boys National School GAA pitches in earlier October. The skill levels from all the participants where very high in both regional events and at the finals day. All the participants who took part in the finals day received a football each and the players who finished 1st,2nd & 3rd received hoodies and monaghan jerseys. The following is the winners from the skill competition 1st place Oggie Duffy(Gaelscoil Ultan) 2nd place Bradley Maguire (Urbleshanny NS) 3d place Joseph McKenna (Urbleshanny NS). On behalf of Monaghan Coaching & Games Development Committee I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the schools & players who took part and also to those Schools who allowed the use of their facilities. In addition to this I would like to thank the schools & parents who made sure all the children were able to attend the skills competition on Saturday.
