County Training

Managers Paul Ward and Geraldine Clarke are fired up and raring to go for the new Camogie season and hope that all the potential County girls will have the same anticipation when they meet in Cloghan on Sunday next 30th January at 12.30pm. There will be a short poc around followed by a players meeting, concluding with refreshments. Clubs are reminded to send as many players as possible to this worthwhile session.

Camogie Workshop

1.        Kevin Kelly will take a one hour workshop on Tues. Feb 8th in Cloghan from 7.30 to 8.30pm around Coach Development in clubs. Each club will receive an audit to complete (in their clubs) and once this is returned to him he will select 10 clubs for follow-up visits and help with getting a coaching structure in place.

2.        On Sat. Mar. 26th Hurling /Camogie Underage Coaching workshops will be held for approximately 3 hours in Cloghan. Coaches, or aspiring coaches, will be divided according to the age group they are interested in working with e.g. Under 8/ Under 18 etc. They will then undertake a practical workshop relating to this age group. It is hoped to have a plenary session at the end where coaches could ask questions/ make observations etc. This would be an ideal opportunity to get a range of players/parents in each club involved in coaching

Inniskeen

Last weekend, the Inniskeen Camogie team held their AGM in the Social Club. There was a good attendance and a big thank you to all who showed their support on Sunday afternoon. It was great to see Fr P. McGuiness, our Honorary President, in attendance and he closed the meeting with a fitting prayer.  Positions filled at the AGM were as follows: Chairperson: Bernie McGahon, Vice Chair: Michelle Deery. Secretary: Aisling McGeeney, Treasurer: Arlene McGeeney, Registrar: Alice McGahon, PRO: Sharon McGahon, Childrens Officer: Isobel Kierans. It was discussed and agreed at the AGM that a players meeting will be held in the coming days to arrange training dates etc.
